DENNY AND SABINA
We are Denny & Sabina, a Kizomba Fusion dance-duo, based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Our partnership started in 2019. Our goal is to create our own style by combining strong Kizomba basics with our dance background. Fusing different dance styles is an interesting concept. We strongly believe that you should have a good foundation and understanding of the styles and cultures before fusing them. Here is a little more information about who we are:
Denny – is one of the co-founders of Twisted Feet Dance Academy in Sweden. He has been a professional street dancer for over 15 years, travelling, teaching and performing all around the world. Denny was first introduced to Tarraxinha and Kizomba at Creole parties in the Swedish suburbs back in 2006. They called it “the chewing gum dance” and you can say it got stuck to him. Denny has been sharing his knowledge about Kizomba and Kizomba Fusion since 2017. He always sees himself as a student of Angolan rooted art and culture.
Sabina – has a 6 years of background in Ballroom dances with the main focus on Standard dances. Later in her career she has been influenced by Voguing. Her first introduction to Kizomba, believe it or not, was in Cuba. Sabina has been teaching Urban Kiz since 2017. Since then she has been an inspiration for female leaders in the Norwegian Kizomba and Urban Kiz scene.
